Johnstone's Trade Damp Proof Paint is a white resin-based paint specially formulated for application to damp interior wall surfaces, including cellars. It can be left as a finish in its own right or as a damp-proofing primer/sealer prior to over-painting with Johnstone's decorative finishes. It incorporates a water-reactive agent that takes care of residual surface moisture, but this does not take away the need to repair any structural faults that might allow water to penetrate into the fabric of the wall.
